This workshop will guide you through the process of participating in a successful exhibition overseas with particular focus on selecting the appropriate show for you, logistical challenges, stand behaviour and measuring success post-event. The use of modern marketing and social media techniques will also be discussed, showing how you can generate interest to drive traffic to your stand during the show. Delegates will be provided with a series of checklists to help them prepare for and manage their participation at an exhibition.

This is Free to all Humber based businesses looking to up-skill their existing workforce.
The Humber LEP is working in partnership with Hull College and the European Social Fund to support Humber business up-skill their existing workforce. SME's located in the region are able to benefit from fully funded flexible staff training via the Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW) programme.
The aim of the funding is to support business growth and make the workforce more sustainable. The funding is very flexible and can be tailored to meet employer needs. Most delivery will take place at the employer premises however, for some specialist training it may require college attendance.

We are joined by Maf Smith Deputy CEO of Renewables UK who has chosen to join us for the afternoon. Maf will give a short talk on current activities in the Offshore Renewable sector www.renewableuk.com. We hope also to be joined by our patron the Rt Hon Alan Johnson MP, who is also happy (time permitting) to come and join us for the afternoon.
