WTC Dubai to host WTCA's 2008 General Assembly

The WTCA’s 2008 General Assembly will be held in Dubai between November 7-10 and hosted by WTC Dubai. In recognition of the increasing importance of women in global trade, the General Assembly’s theme will be Women as Leaders in International Business.

The General Assembly program will include an opening reception, welcome by local officials, conference on the General Assembly theme, workshops by the WTCA standing committees, regional meetings, a briefing on the region’s economy, a certification workshop, WTCA programming and president’s progress report. A trip to Abu Dhabi is planned as well as a tour of Dubai. The cultural evening will be highlighted by a Bedouin dinner in the desert.

WTCA headquarters is organizing a program for trade mission delegates, who are invited to take advantage of the region’s burgeoning business opportunities, especially in the fields of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, building, real estate, building materials, hotels, restaurants, tourism, financial services, aviation and aircraft.
